There’s some fantastic at-home face masks you can make that can help protect your skin, as well as heal it before the next day’s beauty routine. I’ve got a collection myself:

˟˟ Skin Smoothing Brown Sugar Mask

˟˟ Moisturizing Olive Oil Mask

˟˟ Rejuvenating Aspirin Mask

˟˟ Softening Cucumber Melon Mask
I hope you enjoy making them and using them as much as I do! If you’re looking for facial scrubs you can make right at home using natural ingredients to use before your mask, I’ve got some of those too:

˟˟ Exfoliating Cinnamon Face Wash

˟˟ Deep Cleaning Lemon Face Wash

˟˟ Pore Cleansing Tomato Basil Wash

˟˟ Soft and Sweet Coconut Milk Wash

Stay natural ladies, and keep your skin safe and healthy this winter! Happy early holidays!

Obviously, I’ll try for the conventional bottled medicine in the cabinet before I start chugging salt & vinegar water. But this time, even after (well over) the reccommended dosage of Robutissin, Sudafed, and even slathering Vicks all over my entire upper body, I was getting little to no relief at all. My throat was the worst, it just felt like a bunch of bees kept stinging my throat cavity over and over in an attempt to make me claw through my skin and let them out.

After not sleeping for over 24 hours and laying with an agonizing cough, I decided to do what I should have done in the first place. The ceyenne pepper remedy!

There are plenty of helpful places on the web that can tell you how to make simple ceyenne pepper remedies, like Earth Clinic‘s recipies. Here I’ll share with you a simple way to use it in your morning tea. You’ll need:

a warm cup of black, green, or red tea

a few drops of (preferably local) honey

a hearty dash of ceyenne pepper

a circular medium-thick slice of fresh lemon

I expect people to already know how to make a cup of remedy tea, but just in case you don’t, I’ll explain it so you don’t basically mace yourself with this one. Make your cup of tea, remove (and squeeze remnants from) the tea bag and throw it away. Add your drops of honey and dash of ceyenne. MIX INCREDIBLY WELL. Why do you have to mix it well? Because if you sip it, and any dry ceyenne happens to hit the back of your throat, it will burn. Very, very badly.

Now drop in your lemon slice, let it sit for a moment and then give it one more stir, in case any pepper has settled. Now, enjoy your tea. The best part about this remedy is; if you’re using it, you most likely are so sick that you can’t taste/smell anything. That works well here, because the tea might taste a bit awful and I’m sure it doesn’t smell so great either.

Take small sips, and don’t be alarmed if your lips or the tip of your tongue tingle a bit. It’s pretty much the same sensation as if you ate a bunch of hot wings. Unless you’re a weenie, you should be able to handle that. Just wash it down with another cup of regular tea with another lemon in it, and you should notice almost immedeate results. Your stinging throat should haave subsided, and if you couldn’t previously eat solid food, you can now! This remedy works very fast and it’s perfect for me. (You can’t look pretty when you’re coughing up brown stuff and have snot hanging out of your nose.)

There’s truly nothing better than natural remedies. You can use apple cider vinegar and organic honey in lots of natural cold remedies too, and both can be found right at Earth Clinic. Stay safe and feel better!

Why would you buy a product that’s supposed to heal, clean, and soothe your skin…when it’s full of agents that do just the opposite?

There are a few of the main things in soap that you need to look out for:

Harsh Fragrances

Sodium Laureth Sulfate

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate

Sodium EDTA

Propylene Glycol

Mineral Oil

Sodium Fluoride

These are all super bad for your skin, and some of them have even been found to be linked with cancers, skin diseases, and other serious problems! Read this article to find out more about the bad yucky stuff I just mentioned, and how it’s used in your soap.

Believe it or not, a lot of ladies are poo-pooing at mineral makeup still because the coverage it offers isn’t really top notch. That’s not really the case anymore though, thanks to genius combinations of titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, and natural pigments mixed with mica powder brought to you by top scientists at cosmetic companies. Who thought you’d get your pretty, blemish-free face from a scientist? (me.)

For the people that still aren’t willing to give up their pastey face for a warm natural glow, I would imagine the thought of putting dirt and/or rocks on their face is a deterrent. I would imagine that’s what it is, because I just can’t understand why someone wouldn’t choose something that’s obviously far better for your skin. So, let me outline the plus sides of mineral makeup with a mica base.

So, WHY is mica so important in your makeup?

It’s natural. I mean, what’s more natural than rocks, right? Nothing says ‘earth’ like a big old hunk of… earth.

It’s naturally shimmery. I’ve never met a person that complained even in the least about the faint natural glow they get from mica based mineral foundations.

It blends well. VERY well. Even with a cheap brush (which I would never advocate using), it’s just so much easier to blend with other colors you might be using, whether it be on your eyes or cheeks.

There really isn’t anything negative I can say about mica based mineral makeups. Mostly because the only problem I’ve ever had with them, is that the foundations don’t really offer the painted-face coverage that many drugstore chemical laden formulas do. But…is that really a bad thing? Do I really want all that stuff in my pores?

Still have questions? Are you asking yourself; What is mica, and why is it in my makeup? Well, click it, and find out.

Goth. You know what I’m talking about. Dark eye makeup, deep blacks, reds, and purples…sexy lace, hot dark dresses, chains, spikes, thorny roses. Goth style has been around since the early 80s, and it’s not going anywhere any time soon. This makes webbycake very happy.

I’m not talking about those pink shoes wearing, blonde pigtails having, poofy backpack owning “goths”. Those are just girls adapting punk/chic style, and while that’s still adorable, that is not at all what I’m talking about.

There’s truly nothing hotter than a girl with porcelain white skin and dark, spooky features crawling up to you with that yummy eerie look in her eyes. Whether you’re the sort of goth that likes to wear big frocky-like lolita wear or striped stockings and tight band shirts, you’re still considered stylish in many fashion circles. There’s just something worth clinging to when it comes to a style that’s survived decades upon decades.

There’s something about goth style that’s always bothered me;

Why are there still some fashionistas that shun goth style clothes, hair, and makeup?

Embrace it! Sure, the trendy vamp-goths of today are a little annoying, but remember the REAL goths! The girls that truly like the taste of blood, those sexy long black boots, raven black hair and rose red lips! How could you not at least appreciate their beauty?

Well, whether you like the way they look or not, you have to deal with the fact that goths are here to stay. Not only are there everyday goths, wearing their dark garb and makeup every day –

But there are plenty of fashion savvy, trend hungry women that take a break from their flesh colored leggings to tie on a corset and boots. Lots of ladies nowadays are wiping off that pink lipstick to replace it with deep, dark black, and more and more girls are wearing dark, spooky, winged eye makeup at least once or twice a week. It’s even gotten to the point where goth style is considered “edgy”, and looked at as a huge part of new age fashion, even though it’s been around for so long.

I’m not just an advocate of goth style clothing. I’m also a big fan of goth cosmetics, and would like to promote this style as much as possible. It’s just…so hot.

Yes, you can buy white face makeup. (And hey, a lot of goth cosmetic companies actually use formulas similar to what Geisha use. White skin and rose red lips were *always* considered attractive. Take that, skeptics!) There are a lot of neat and quite popular cosmetic items that seem perfect for sexy goth eyes. (MAC Greasepaint Stick in BLACK, their shadow pot in CARBON and their paint pot in BLACKGROUND, also a pretty thick dark lashes with Lancome’s Definicils mascara in DEEP BLACK)

So, enough BS. Onto the neat resources!
